Brent Arckey is the Head Coach and CEO of the Sarasota Sharks, a role he has held since 2017. He has been with the Sharks for over a decade, contributing significantly to the team’s success. Under his leadership, the Sharks have become a top-tier swim team, consistently finishing high in national rankings. Brent has also been involved with USA Swimming, participating in various national camps and summits, and was named the Florida LSC Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2019.
In addition to his accomplishments with the Sarasota Sharks, Brent has coached several elite swimmers, including Emma Weyant, a silver medalist in the 400 IM at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, and recently, Summer McIntosh, a world record holder and rising superstar. His coaching philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach to athlete development, integrating both physical and mental health into training.
Brent began his coaching career in Gainesville, Florida, with Gator Swim Club in 2005 and has since developed a reputation for building strong team cultures and producing top-performing athletes at both the national and international levels
